I am going to be sued due to the lost sale of a dog I had trained.
The threat was to be sued due to loss of sale, training fees and slander of the dog.
The situation is i had trained the dog from may 10th of 2013 to mid July. They had taken the dog back satisfied with the training he had been under.
Sept. 22 or last Sunday i was called by a potential buyer of the dog asking me about the training and my opinion. The man was not very impressed with the dog and expressed that and in turn i didnt give the dog a rave review. I had mentioned i had a lab available but nothing further. Big mistake on my part. The sale did not go through.
I currently have 24 hours to respond to owmers otherwise they are turning to their attorney.
What should I do and do they have a viable case against me?
Additional Details I did not sell the lab, nor did I discuss any details of the lab such as price or what the dog was trained for. Nothing was said in that order. The breeder of the dog was holding the dog for the owners and who are recommended them to talk to me.
