My husband is self employed (sole proprietor, works alone). If I cover him under my employer health insurance?

  • insurance for business
  • business insurance
  • business insurance companies
  • business health check
  • home health care business
  • business health insurance
  • medical billing business
  • medical business services
  • business continuity plan
  • business plan service provider
  • tax deductible donations
plan (that I would be paying for out of pocket), is that portion tax deductible as far as his business is concerned?
  • Additional Details
  • I've never had my health insurance to be pre-tax, only my 401K contributions. I'm in NC and not sure if that has anything to do with it. Should I elect to have my spouse covered, as I have before, it is NOT pre-tax and it can be quite expensive (it was $300 per month in a previous government position, again, NOT pre-tax). The portion that covers me is employer sponsored. And YES we file MFJ and the business is NOT a separate tax entity. Thanks guys! Let me know if this is a game changer. You all rock.
