My brother is going to america and was getting a credit card but the bank messed up and haven't sent him one as the signatures don't match so he had to reapply. The chances are the credit card will not arrive now in time before he goes away.


I understand at a number of places out there you need to give credit cards when you stay at hotels, will this be a problem without a credit card?


The person he is going with has a credit card so its not a big problem, but they are renting a car and my brother will be the one driving. Does he need to be the one with the credit card if hes driving, I understand its difficult to rent without a credit card?
