I'm just wondering because the way my dad is wording it, it seems extremely unfair and wrong of the insurance company to do this.
Early this summer, we had a series of hair storms and houses all around my neighborhood has been getting new roofs. But not our house. The insurance company says that we have defective shingles, that the damage done to it is because we don't have the proper shingles to begin with.
But if all these other houses need work, isn't that enough evidence that ours would need it regardless? And besides, my parents bought this house 11 years ago and the shingles were on it already before they bought it. If it makes a difference, most of the houses were built around 15 years ago including ours.
Someone who understands things like these, please explain this to me. XD
