Let's say that I have a hypothetical $300,000 to invest. I buy COP (Conocophillips) shares with my imaginary money, at its current stock price. How much in dividend payments would I get in a year? Same for Microsoft. Please show how you make the calculation. I often get confused with dividend yield and dividend per share. Thanks a lot in advance!
