Do part-time employees have the right to a weekly schedule?

I work at UPS as a part-time employee. I am currently still under my 3-month probation period. When Monday comes, I have to wait until 4:00pm-4:15pm to find out if I work at 5:00pm that day. So basically, everyday, I get a text from my supervisor after 4:00pm saying, "Come in at 5" or "Layoff today". I have requested a schedule a couple of times but he tells me, "New employees fall under the lowest level of seniority so you are, essentially, on call."


So my main question is, Do part-time employees have the right to a weekly, biweekly, monthly, or any schedule?


It's annoying having to wait until 4 to find out if I work or not. If anyone knows the answer to this, could you please also include proof? Preferably a link to a trusted legitimate website containing the info I need.
