Think of it this way. If a complete stranger came up to you and wanted you to work full time for them for three years, with no pay, what would you say? Because that's precisely what you're doing by giving the money back.

To answer the question about laundering, you just keep it in your house and use it here and there in bits. Actually even my local bank doesn't keep a note of who pays what cash in.
