24k = pure gold, sold describing 9k as "solid gold" is pretty misleading.
100 grams = 3.215 troy ounces
3.215 * 9/24 purity = 1.2056 troy ounces of pure gold
Closing gold price today was $1289, so 1.2056 * 1289 = $1554
$2800 is a ripoff.
