Is it possible to block messages/another user on ebay? Do you think I'm being unreasonable?

I bought an item two months ago. Paid, received it - everything was ok. The seller contacted me asking for feedback. I politely explained that I choose to only leave feedback when I am particularly happy or unhappy with the service/item. Some sellers are absolutely brilliant and I feel that it is better simply to recognise those.

Apparently this is not good enough for the seller who has emailed me at least a couple times a week since then demanding feedback. I had explained myself so many times that I finally had enough and I left neutral feedback, stating that I was happy with the item but the communication was problematic.

She has since then gone off on a rant saying I was lucky to get it so cheap and I shouldn't've expected good service because she didn't get the price she wanted. That she expected nothing less than perfect feedback and how dare I say her emailing was too much and on and on and on. She ended saying that I hadn't better buy anything else on ebay from anyone ever again.

She will not leave me alone. What can I do? Am I being unreasonable here? I've never had problems like this buying or selling. I would never hassle a buyer for feedback - one email, fair enough but...

  • Yeah, but I can't figure out if there is a way of actually blocking someone. Any ideas?
  • Ok, I respect your opinion. I don't object to people asking for feedback. What I object to is someone who cannot take no for an answer.

I understand why people want it. I've simply never felt ebay's feedback system is an accurate portrayal of the actual service individuals have provided, hence why I only leave feedback selectively. I received the item packed in a bin bag in a week and a half (paid first class) which seemed ish reasonable and certainly not something I would leave bad/neutral feedback for. But to me it makes a mockery for that to get 100% positive when I compare it to other sellers who have really gone the extra mile.

There is no way I would alter the feedback. Would it really be accurate to leave positive feedback for someone who has emailed me something like 30 times over a transaction that has been completed?

I can't say I think leaving a one word feedback saying "ok" would've helped as she seems unhappy that I described the item as
  • Do you remember where I put "I've never had problems like this buying or selling."? I have sold stuff people.

I leave feedback for the people who include nice little notes, who get it in the post really quickly, who just do something really nice. One woman wrapped up an item in tissue paper and put flower petals inside. These are the ones who deserve that 100% positive. If you don't agree, well, that's up to you.

Saying thank you at a till is not feedback. Contacting the manager to praise service is. Don't put words into my mouth though. I don't consider shop assistants inferior. I'm not some right wing snob.

Say what you like about my question but it is pretty low to insult me on the basis of mental health. What, you've never been depressed? You don't know anyone with an eating disorder? Lucky you.
