Just brought insurance and smashed phone 3 days later, can I claim?

• accident at work
• work injury claim
• on screen advertising
• lump sum contract

Took out insurance with EE clone phone on Friday after purchasing a new phone on contract with EE a week ago and smashed the screen on my phone at work today(Sunday). There is no time frame in terms and conditions in which you have to have the insurance before you can claim on it, however is it likely that they will accept the claim?
