Starting a tech or energy company?

Hi. I want to know what is it I need to know to start a company? I want to start an energy company/tech company. Perhaps even both. At the moment, I am a junior in college working on my B.S. in physics, and I plan to go to graduate school to start my phD in physics right afterward. I have some really neat plans for harnessing energy, but I still need knowledge on how to make it work. Which is part of the reason why I am going for physics other than the fact that it's my favorite subject. I should have my phD by 27 or 28. After that I plan to start my company. I'm looking into buying books on how to start and run a business/company so by the time I am 27 I have knowledge in that area. Anyone have experience/suggestions they would like to share? I live in the U.S. by the way.
