I recently applied for a Capital One 360 checking account, but was denied because of my credit score.
as it turns out, my habit of not buying things I can't afford has worked against me, as I currently have NO CREDIT SCORE, so my questions are
Why do I need a Credit Score to open a checking account? I can only assume it's because 360 is an online bank, and if I overdraft they'll be loaning me the money I over spend, but I would still have a checking account there... seems hard to make a run for it when the money I mean to spend would be in my account... and what with this not being 1926 and all...
and how can I get a Credit Score in order to open a 360 account?
can I just open a worse checking account at Chase or something and get a LootCrate subscription for a few months, or what? =/
