- worldwide health insurance
- health insurance companies
- travel medical insurance
- purchase medical insurance
- health care policy
I'm a little confused by this. Obamacare will require that virtually all Americans have medical insurance coverage. However, some health insurance policies provide only very skimpy coverage. For example, I heard of a case a few years ago where the patient thought his insurance would fully cover the cost of his long hospitalization but it turns out his policy only covered $250/day of coverage, which is peanuts. The guy ended up with over $100,000 of hospital costs for which he personally was responsible. He went bankrupt.
So regarding Obamacare--does it only require that you have "a" health insurance policy--meaning that you could get an inexpensive policy, like the guy in the example above had, which only paid $250/day for hospitalization--meaning that you could still easily end up going bankrupt--or does Obamacare somehow prevent you from ending up bankrupt as a result of a long and costly hospitalization?

Will Obamacare provide full medical coverage for all?
