I'm 17 and a Junior in highschool and I have a part time getting paid 9 an hour working 20 hours a week on top of school. I want to be a programmer because that's always been a passion of mine and I plan on pursuing it since college degrees are preferred, but not absolutely required. Which is good because I screwed around a bit the first two years of high school. So right now, I'm going to pursue a career of programming which pays around 60-100k a year and I'm making about 4k a year right now with my burger flipping job. Am I doing alright so far? I just feel like I'm not sometimes because I read around and people who make around 200k a year consider themselves middle class, while I'm sitting here fanboying over a 60k job. I just really want to be successful and it seems impossible sometimes since there's just so much room for failure and a life of regret, and I don't want that because I've lived poverty stricken my entire life.
How am I doing in life right now?
