I went to see a doctor, and a few weeks later I received a notice from the clinic saying that I owe them $10 that was not covered by my health insurance. The letter showed that they would increase the amount I owe if I delayed payment for more than 30 days.
I mailed them a check for $10. I have never given anyone a check before so I am not sure how this works. I can see that the money hasn't left my account, and it has been a week since I mailed it.
Is this normal? I feel that the check should have been received by now, but no one has tried to cash it. Should I just wait a few more days? I don't want to risk paying extra if they don't 'receive' or cash my check for whatever reason. Anyone have experience with this?

How long will they take to cash a check?
