I applied for a job and I told them I could only accept full time if I was starting to work there?

The last few weeks I have only been getting 24 hours a week even though I was promised A full time position. I do not have proof but I might have a text message from my boss saying that we will talk about the situation.


Now im backed into a corner as they are giving me different shifts every week and I am also going to school part time. Is there anyway I could get them reported so this can stop or am I just going to have to suck it up and look for another full time job that wont lie.


Also I was told by my boss all the 10 minute breaks were unpaid yet when I look online at the law for California it says all 10 minute breaks are mandatory to be paid [anything less then 20 = paid]


Do I have some sort of recourse I could take with my employer?
