So I deposited a check and some cash today. New machine, never used it before. It asked me to enter the amounts for ALL my deposits. So I put in the check for $250 and $100 in bills, on two separate lines, total $350.
Since I never saw this option for multiple deposits at once before (my usual bank one takes on deposit at a time) I was unsure If I was suppose to put all of it in one envelope, or two separate envelopes. I assumed it would be the latter.
I was wrong. So even though I entered $250 + $100 on the machine, it only accepted one envelope with the $250 check, but my receipt says I deposited $350.
Then I did a second deposit of $100.
So in total, the bank thinks I deposited the $100 twice.
What happens when they realize this is incorrect?
