I'm still puzzled..why do people sell their companies? If my company is doing well and is profitable, I will never sell it. You find out something that works ..it doesn't make sense to me. Can someone explain this to me?
For example, the original owners of Banana Republic sold their company to Gap. Then they started another company, and unfortunately, the second company failed. In my mind, I thought it was smart of them to sell Banana Republic. If you look at banana Republic today, it is doing well. It's profitable.
