I need to get a job but i havent worked for 12 years?

I have 4 kids and have been a homemaker for 12 years........i went to school and graduated with a diploma in medical assisting. But now i have lost all hope of working in that field because my work history and experience is nonexhistant and noone will hire me without said experience. What should i do?
