Is my employer legally allowed to do this?

My employer has cut my hours a couple of weeks after I turned 21, and then only a week after my hours being cut they have hired 2 new recruits (recruits that are to do the same job as me), the only difference is that they are all 16 so get paid less.


They have done this in the past with other employees too, and I was wondering if this was legal or not?


Any advice given would be very much appreciated.
