Let's say a med comes out that can cure 10 major types of cancer in just 10 days. but each pill costs 100 thousand dollars just to make. let's say most patients would need 10 pills during that 10 days. Do u think such medicine would ever even get heard of by ordinary folks. I don't think the pharmaceutical companies could possibly profit on this. and it would bankrupt all of the worlds health insurance companies in a matter of months.(assuming Laws were put in place that forced the Insurance companies to provide them to plan holders!) Thoughts???

FYI: Recentaly there was a (whistleblower) a Doctor on CBC radio who came out saying similar scenarios have happend some 40 times in a major pharmacutical company where he used to work at, just within the past 10 years. and everytime those ultra expensive treatments were buried away by the big business (including large insurance companies) cause it would be impossible to make profit on them(among other reasons!).
