Does it matter if I file joint / separate for health insurance lower premium?

Hi, this is about obama care, medicaid and health insurance.


I make 15k, my wife makes 5k. On the calculator if I'm by myself I can qualify for medicaid, but our joint income together will cost about $60-$70 a person monthly.


My question is, will filing separately or buying health insurance separately be cheaper than a family plan?
