We recently got a new mortgage, first through a mortgage broker who then sold our account to wells fargo. Our original insurance company was paid in full for the year. They dropped us and we have then gotten homeowners insurance through another company. The other company sent us a refund check back. We do have an escrow account with our mortgage. So, can we keep the check or do we need to transfer the money to the escrow account for the new insurance?
