Will i still be required to apply for jobs to receive unemployment benefits if?

If I am enlisted and set to ship out for army basic training in 2 months will i still be required to find a job to receive unemployment? It seems stupid and pointless to me given i'm going to be working for 2 months then quit, i'm not sure if employers would find that intriguing..
