In California, the minimum wage is 8/hr and will increase to 10/hr by 2016. There are many short careers that are being promoted all the time, where the pay is only 9-12/hr. Some of these examples are certified nursing assistant, medical assistant, among others. If their salaries stay the same, what is the incentives will there be for them to pursue these careers and jobs?
Do other wages go up when minimum wage goes up?
