I received a package from a friend in Germany. The box is about the size of an American small flat-rate Priority box. The weight of the package (with the item in it) was 98g.
There are three stamps on the package. Two say "240" and one says "70" (so 550 total). There are no symbols or anything to indicate the meaning/value of those numbers. And there doesn't seem to be a decimal point after the 2 in the 240 (like 2.40). That would make the total 5.50. Or is the decimal point just implied? Like we write $5.55 in the USD; could it be that they would write 555EU in Germany?
I would have to assume that the price would be in Euros but there are no EU symbols anywhere on the stamps.
Does anyone know the value (in EU or USD) of the stamps that total 550?
