stock can be monitored via the epos system, everytime an item sells it adjusts the stock figure on the central system, and when it reaches the set amount an order is placed via online order.
staff still need to check regular (daily) for damaged and theft as the system may think the store has 10 in stock, but if 5 off them have been stolen or 3 has been damaged and the count has not been amended then you may end up with none off that item on the shelf and none on the way in due to no order being placed losing you sales.
the store manager and staff need to keep on top with the checks or the store will hit problems with its stock supply.
