Ok so I just started working at a different company and they do direct deposit. I had to put $50 into my savings account to open it, and I was wondering if they keep that money from you so you don't accidentally withdraw it and it closes down you account, or if it just shows right up as part of your available balance..? I made sure when I got paid today to leave 50 in my account just in case, but on my receipt it says my available balance is $50... so I'm really confused as to whether this is the 50 needed to keep the account active or if it's part of my pay.. I don't have a check stub yet either so I don't know how much I made.. hence the problem. Please HELP!!! thanks!
If you put $50 in a savings account, will that show as part of your available balance?
