My mother single of 3 children received SSI benefits for all of us. We got a monthly check in our names in a checking account. My mother was in charge of the account to save the money for each of us. Upon turning 18 and closing the account she used every penny of the account! She received SSI herself as well as child support and did not need to use our money. Can I sue her for my money since it was not used to support us, since she had her own money coming in and was agreed upon that the money was to be saved and used for college for us children?
