SILVER!!! Really a hedge?

10yrs ago silver spot was $5 now its $21. Its had it's ups and downs since then. I have been told it is good in economic down turns and is also a hedge against inflation, How? In 08' when the market crashed silver went in the toilet.


So many are packing this away in large numbers
