Example an 87 year old woman who needs round the clock care, lives in an assisted living facility, has hospice, her food is pureed, and has dementia while recovering from a broken hip, is wheel chair bound is told she makes to much income to still receive medicaid that she desperately needs due to the increase she was given putting her monthly income at $2065.35 What is she to do and other in this same situation that are but a penny over this cap and are unable to take care of themselves? I am appalled to see these facilities want them out just as soon as they realize they will not be getting a payday off this needy person at the end of their life cycle.
